Why are You an Artist?

I have two questions for you today.

And I will keep it very simple...

The first is, "Why are you an artist?"

How you answer this question will say a lot about you. 

Your identity. Your sense of vocation and calling. Your purpose. The aim and focus of your life.

The second question, for many of you, is a much more dangerous question.

Like being doused in gasoline at a match convention.

Why are you afraid to call yourself an artist?

There may be a lot to unpack there...

I ask these questions because how you answer them will influence the course of your life and the creative flow you long to live in. 

The world needs artists who are fully alive. Why?

Because artists influence everything.
